![]() ![]() By giving the adjective 'porteno' refering to those were born in Buenos Aires, giving us an impression of the four seasons of Buenos Aires. The pieces were scored for his quintet of violin (viola), piano, electric guitar, double bass and bandoneon. They were originally conceived and treated as different compositions rather one suite although Piazzolla performed them together from time to time. The Quatro Estaciones Portenas also known as the Estaciones Portenas or The Four seasons of Buenos Aires are a set of four tango compositions written by the Argentinian tango composer Astor Piazzolla. Estaciones Portenas ( arranged for guitar by Sergio Assad) My three compositions influenced by all above and different music styles come as an epilogue to this story called In Memoriam. It's all about passion, different colors, intense rhythms, dissonance and extended harmonies that stimulate feelings and imagination. Tango meets jazz music with common denomitator the guitar. ![]()
